Our morning rituals determine how our body will use all of the calories we consume.
Scientists have proven that there is a clear link between our morning habits and the risk of causing an imbalance in the body, which usually causes excess pounds.
1. We refuse to have a longer breakfast
The time we eat is much more important than what we eat. Scientists from the University of Tel Aviv have proven that a prolonged breakfast and a light dinner are much more effective when it comes to maintaining weight rather than the diet itself.
And this is because the rate of metabolism varies in different parts of the day. The main conclusion that scientists have come up with is that you should never eat a high-calorie breakfast. Your lunch should be medium in size and your dinner should be light.
2. We don’t take walks when it’s sunny
The sun’s light literally burns fat. At least, white fat tissue. Scientists at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, conducted an experiment and proved that lipids reduce size when exposed to sunlight.
This discovery partly explains why people gain weight during the winter when there is no sunlight. Just keep in mind that spending too much time in the sun is not a good idea and always make sure you have sunscreen applied.
3. We forget to drink a glass of water as soon as we get up
The body of an adult consists of 55 to 60% water, so drink a glass of water after waking up is a very good idea. Water speeds up metabolism, which reduces the risk of gaining weight. It also helps the body to get rid of toxins.
4. We don’t work out
In addition to the obvious benefits of burning calories and increasing metabolic rate, morning exercises can help you reduce your appetite! During an experiment, researchers Dr. Emma Stevenson and. Sc. Student Javier Gonzalez discovered that people who are used to exercising before breakfast eat less food during the day.
5. Delicious food is left for lunch or dinner
If you cannot resist pancakes, eat them during the first part of the day. This is another conclusion to which scientists from Tel Aviv University came. The cake you eat in the morning will add fewer centimeters to your waistline than if you eat it in the evening.
6. Read the news in the morning
Nervousness during reading morning news can have a negative impact on your health.
Stress causes the body to produce hormones that help the body to adapt to the new environments. If stress is experienced briefly, new fat cells are unlikely to develop. If stress is long-term, the “calory saving” mechanism is activated. Even if we start eating less, we will not be able to lose weight until the stressful situation is over.
