Miss England replaced the crown with a white coat

Bhasha Mukherjee, graduated in medicine from the University of Nottingham and worked at a clinic in Boston. She took the title of “Miss England” in 2019. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, she decided to return to the UK to help people as a doctor.

“I was invited to Africa, Turkey, then India, Pakistan and several others
Asian countries to be an ambassador for various humanitarian affairs, “Basha Mukherjee told CNN.

As the world’s coronavirus situation worsened, colleagues at the Boston hospital she worked at wrote to her how difficult the situation was. She contacted the hospital management and asked to return to work.

“It is wrong to wear a crown, while people are dying of covid-19 . I wanted to go back to work,” said Basha Mukherjee.
