A TEENAGER has dropped shifts at Curry’s for a one-of-a-kind luxury lifestyle after working his way up from an assistant a to millionaire trader.
When Reese Blanche, from Basingstoke, turned 18, he started working two part-time jobs – at Curry’s and doing the odd job for currency traders at a finance firm – all while still attending university.
However, after learning a thing or two from the traders, he decided to start dabbling in Forex trading himself – while keeping his job at Curry’s.
Miraculously, by the time he passed his A Levels with grades AAA, Reese was already a millionaire owning a massive rental portfolio of over 1.2 million.
“Being an errand boy you definitely learn things if you pay attention especially if that’s wealthy people. Whatever I learned or shall I say overheard I went home and did my own research.”
“It was a part-time job but I always see everything I do as an opportunity to continue gaining knowledge.”
“I met a guy who had been trading for years he worked for a company called TFF Group, I became friends with him and then as soon as I turned 19, he taught me a new trading strategy, my account doubled within 6 – 9 months.”
Since hanging up his Curry’s uniform for good, Reese has managed to build a large property portfolio including three phone shops, a few rental properties in Essex and a homeless shelter in his home country Nigeria.
The teenage entrepreneur moved to Basingstoke as an 11-year-old with his mum in 2009 and is now also a Senior manager of a forex hedge fund.
Reese says that he was flabbergasted when he found out his A Level results because he had never fully revised.
“Going to university, working at Curry’s AND trading from home was the toughest time for him.”
By the time he was 19, Reese had bought his mum both a house and a car – but he says that she is always reminding him about giving 10% back. so that he would be clean of any bad luck or “ju ju” as she liked to say.
Reese said: “When I got into the trading world, I had to get them newspapers or carry their luggage from their nice cars or if they had left their phone in the car, they’d send me to go and get it.”
“My goal is to make sure everyone can achieve financial freedom. I’d like to make sure everyone has got what they need to live life to the fullest.“
“So far, I’ve bought my mum a car. Then the next step was to get her a nice place to live so I bought her a house. The final stage is to get her into hair and cosmetics she has always loved hair and beauty so I intend to fund the start-up costs for the business.”
“Now that I’ve got to this level though, I’ve got a completely different group of friends. The people who used to send me on errands are the same people who are exchanging market tips with me so of course it sometimes gets to my head. But I try and invest my money as much as I can you know what they say the higher you are the greater the fall”
